Professional Networking Reception & Excellence in Education Award Honors
Friday, May 19, 2023 | 6 pm | Marriott Marquis Houston

If you were looking for more than a thousand of Houston’s hottest professional and entrepreneurial Millennials on the third Friday night in May, the place to look would have been the Texas Black Expo’s Professional Networking Reception at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston, hosted in conjunction with HTX Millennials.
Guests mixed, mingled, made introductions, gained business leads, and traded stories of their experiences in life and business against the backdrop of the Hip Hop music stylings of DJ Bananas.

Amidst the networking, sharing and laughter, guests for the ticketed event also had the opportunity to browse the tables of more than 20 small business vendors marketing everything from lifestyle brands to beauty products and from business services to hats and accessories.

VIPs in attendance were able to partake in an even more exclusive experience in a private area of the reception, which featured a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres and fixed dining stations throughout the evening in addition to bar drinks and swag bags featuring exclusive TBE gifts.

One of the highlights of the evening came during a presentation held mid-event during which Texas Black Expo’s 15 Excellence in Education (E2) Award recipients were honored before the attentive crowd. These honorees were selected based on their tireless dedication and for operating with a spirit of excellence throughout their career in service to young people.
